If you were to look at my publishing dates you would see a big gap of time between my latest publication and the one before it. Well Life was life-ing these past few years. So yes there was a while that my writing progress went at a snail’s pace. But I am back in the seat now and there has been a lot in the works. The final book of the Sons of Tyras Series, Lilya’s story, is finally drafted and waiting for the edits, and there are the first drafts of the next three in the new series nearly complete. In fact I am very excited about these stories and can’t wait to share them with you.
I know you might hear from writers often enough that they dislike the editing process, but that’s not me. I love the process of refining the story. I mean, when you’re crushing on your own characters you really want their story world perfect for them.
So here’s a closer look at where things stand.
- Lilya’s story, Gifts of Fate, is complete in the first draft and waiting for her edits.
- The Swan of Aesir, the second book in the Legends of Storm and Light series, is almost complete where we will be following Alexander Lyon to the Hidden Lands.
- The Dragon Stone, Bryn’s story, was written out of turn and is fully complete except for the edits and I am so excited about this one. I really think you are going to love it.
- Zeal of Shadows follows a new couple who was not introduced in book one. That one is almost complete in its first draft as well.
I have been working hard to bring these stories to you. With more ideas in the works. And as soon as the roughs are finished on the Swan of Aesir and Zeal of shadows the editing phase on all of them will begin.
